I was once deeksha giver. While getting out the cult,... I got a book of UG Krishnamurti, I was amazed of how kalki was just repeating , with exactitude many of UG's talkings. He would just remove all what was related to gurus and godmen's bullshit, that UG used to talk. For any deekshagiver interested in verifying this, go read No way Out of UG K. I totally believe what this man wrote about Kracki.

Kalki does indeed seem like slime. Thanks for posting this informative article. You get a slight look into his humanness and beginnings. I am a J.Krishnamurti lover, and find it disgusting how Kalki is putting down JK. JK saw into him and knew he was a fake and a wannabee. Kalki is a big fraud and deserves to be exposed.

I am curious how common this actually is. If it is as common as you state, it would probably create quite a scandal in the U.S. if actual evidence could be given. I am also curious how the Indian people distinguish the gurus who are sincere in their teachings from those who use that pedestal for self aggrandizement.

This story is quite frightening in that it shows how easy it is to become a guru and godman in India. Kalki was the first place i landed when i went spiritual. I was regularly surprised (after leaving) when i found that most of what he says is copied from other teachers (such as Ramana) while at the same time, K keeps running them down as not enlightened. K kept saying in all his darshans that Ramana was not enlightened. The only thing original said by K is his 'i and amma are god' line. Kracki hits at the teachers/gurus like JK, Ramana, UG etc. But he does not openly hit at the religious leaders such as Buddha, Christ and Krishna who are very high on his "enlightenment scale".
この物語は、インドでグルおよび神人になることがいかに容易であるかを示している点で実に驚きです。

Yea, it i possible to get away with this if you are a big and powerful guru. and you have political connections/ buy off the local police etc. However, lest you think India is the lawless Wild West, lots of the small time fake gurus do get caught, convicted for their crimes and go to jail - like "Swami" Premananda.
勢力のあるグルであれば逃げ切ることも可能です。
地元の警察などと政治的な繋がり（賄賂）を持ちます。
けれども、インドは無法地帯ではないかと思います。
たくさんの三流どころの偽グルが逮捕されて投獄されています。

I think it is on the exaggerated side. Threat of physical violence is one thing and actual murder is a different thing. How many political connections and police officers someone can buy? If it is something as grave as murder, somewhere, sometime, someone is going to spill the beans. Not to mention the legions of semi-employed small time journalists whose only source of livelihood is the scent of a rumour.

For the large part, the big time gurus are not criminals, just megalomaniacs. They may however generate feelings of intense loyalty among their followers. It is better not to cross swords with them. You never know, which disciple decides to take what action against you to prove his loyalty to his master.

Average Indian does not need guru for spiritual upliftment. Role of an ordinary guru is much less glamorous than big time babas. An ordinary guru is a family counselor, an astrologer and a social facilitator who arranges his client's daughter's marriage or pleads for client's son's employment with his wealthier clients. Mind you, a small time guru is equally in danger of getting physically thrashed if his clients find out him to be a con man.

Anon, I don't think it is general practice in the U.S. for gurus to use hitmen to knock off dissenters. the main problem here, which is much more grave than the problem of gurus and enlightenment, is the environmental holocaust which the U.S. and European countries are in a position to address, but criminally go on with business as usual.

True. If you have a population of one billion people, even a vanishingly small fraction becomes a huge number. However by and large, big time babas are for westerners and western educated upper-middle class indians. An upper middle class indian will probably be embarassed to acknowledge his allegiance to a traditional non-english speaking non-charismatic family guru. On the other hand, allegiance to an english speaking big time baba is hip and is not considered a source of embarrasment in his social circle.

Gurus active in the US have indeed threatened defectors with harm. People who left Swami Muktananda's Siddha Yoga were harrassed and threatened with facial disfigurement (by acid) and worse if they exposed his sexual exploitation of young women and girls. And former devotees of his successor have been harrassed in less dramatic but more savvy ways that are not easy to document or prove--piles of porn arriving in the mail, false information on credit reports, gossip campaigns, etc. It's almost childish, and seems purely vindictive, since the effect is to increase the defector's disgust with the whole sorry mess.

Anon, I don't think it is general practice in the U.S. for gurus to use hitmen to knock off dissenters. the main problem here, which is much more grave than the problem of gurus and enlightenment, is the environmental holocaust which the U.S. and European countries are in a position to address, but criminally go on with business as usual.

True. If you have a population of one billion people, even a vanishingly small fraction becomes a huge number. However by and large, big time babas are for westerners and western educated upper-middle class indians. An upper middle class indian will probably be embarassed to acknowledge his allegiance to a traditional non-english speaking non-charismatic family guru. On the other hand, allegiance to an english speaking big time baba is hip and is not considered a source of embarrasment in his social circle.

Gurus active in the US have indeed threatened defectors with harm. People who left Swami Muktananda's Siddha Yoga were harrassed and threatened with facial disfigurement (by acid) and worse if they exposed his sexual exploitation of young women and girls. And former devotees of his successor have been harrassed in less dramatic but more savvy ways that are not easy to document or prove--piles of porn arriving in the mail, false information on credit reports, gossip campaigns, etc. It's almost childish, and seems purely vindictive, since the effect is to increase the defector's disgust with the whole sorry mess.

I think it is on the exaggerated side. Threat of physical violence is one thing and actual murder is a different thing. How many political connections and police officers someone can buy? If it is something as grave as murder, somewhere, sometime, someone is going to spill the beans.

I am no fan of Sai baba but there is more here than meets the eyes. How can anyone believe armed intruders to be innocent victims? Despite my personal distaste for this boy-bugger, I would not like to take away his right to be treated innocent until proven guilty.
